Modules

With the implementation of the study and examination regulations 2021, the Bachelor's Degree Programme Mechatronics and its modules have been adapted to the requirements of the future.

Among other things, specialisations instead of the subject-specific specialization modules are now available for selection for the fifth semester, with which students can gain extended knowledge in areas of study in which they are particularly interested. The distribution of ECTS points/ECTS credit points (formerly credit points) has also been modified so that five ECTS points are now awarded for all successfully completed modules with normal courses.

Specialization - 5th semester

For the fifth semester, mechatronics students must select two specialisations. There are currently a total of four specialisations to choose from, all of whose courses take place in the winter semester. Each specialisation consists of two subject modules that include different courses.

The choice of specialisations is made digitally via the THWS-E-Learning-System.

ECTS/ECTS-Credit-Points

European Credit Transfer System is the English term for the European system for the transfer and accumulation of academic credits. One ECTS point represents a workload of 30 hours for attending courses, preparing for and following up on the courses and preparing for the module examination.

SWS

Semester hours per week; required attendance of students at the university per module in one semester week.
One SWS comprises a period of 45 minutes.
